Talk about a fast and fabulicious dessert! This delicate cream takes less than 3 minutes to prepare. Ever since the time Brazilian Churrascarias were introduced in Miami (that would be my college days) our family has been in love with Papaya Cream. It’s the principal dessert on the menu at churrascarias. Papaya Cream calms and cools the stomach after a sickening indulgence on red meat. I planted some papaya in our backyard. See one of the pretty and papaya-loaded trees in the pics below.
High-quality vanilla ice cream (Haagan Daz)
Ripe Papaya, seeds removed
Crème de Cassis
Cut the papaya in half and scoop out the seeds. Scoop the papaya flesh (no skin) into a Magic Bullet or blender. Add two or three large scoops of ice cream. The exact amount depends on the size of the papaya. You want to have more papaya than ice cream. Blend until smooth. Serve in a clear glass. Pour in some Cassis and enjoy!
Nem preciso explicar esta receita para os Brasileiros. Creme de Papaya é o que há. Muito fácil. Basta colocar sorvete de creme de alta qualidade e mamão sem as sementes num liquificador e bater até incorporar. Sirva com Licor de Cassis.
